How long can a person live with UNTREATED Breast Cancer?
Posted by tbug
There are many different types of breast cancer some more aggressive than others. Its when it metastasizes that you have the lethal issues. That is why it is so important to have regular health checkups. Upon finding a lump it is important to have it diagnoses quickly. Skin cancer is another type of cancer in your category of you can live without a section of your skin. But once it moves then you are in trouble.

YES, you can die from breast cancer.
Cancer is cancer, no matter what kind. It doesn?t mater how much tissue is there, the cancer kills you (if not treated). Many women (and some men) die from breast cancer every year. If it isn?t treated properly, it can cause death.
The cancer usually doesn?t just stay in the breast. It can spread into other vital organs, which can be very deadly to your body.
Any cancer is dangerous. So yes, you can die from breast cancer.
To answer your OTHER question: How long can a person live with UNTREATED breast cancer?
With breast cancer, it depends. Some people have the cancer for a year, but don?t notice until that time. Some people can live about 15 years with cancer, without knowing it, but eventually die. Some people can only live a month, or less. It depends on the cancer, and the person.
Hope I helped.. (:

Depends on many factors
1] what kind of breast cancer? there are 14 main ?types, and each of those has three dif ?sub-types?, so that is 42 dif ones just for breast cancer
2] what stage is it ? one, two, three, four?
3] some patients with the same breast canacer will respond to drug ?A?, another may need drug ?B?
4] nearly all cancers can be life threatening ? so you are not correct
a] the number one cause of cancer death in the US is lung
b] #2 colon
c] #3 breast cancer

Like nearly all cancers how long someone can live without treatment depends on the stage, grade and type of cancer when diagnosed.
Yes you are right in saying it is not life-threatening within itself, just like all the other cancers you mentioned. The fact that it is contained within the tissue of origin makes it an early stage cancer and you can live without a pancreas or a kidney. Just the tumor is removed from the brain and they often recur making them dangerous even when benign.
And also am I right in saying that malignant tumors in the breast are not life-threatening within itself because of the nature of the breast tissue (i.e. compared to other organs such as the brain, the pancreas and the kidneys, which are largely responsibility for keeping us alive), which is for women primary milking-producing, but the higher incidence of metastasis to far-reaching organs like the ones listed above that make breast cancer so deadly. One of the reasons why i am asking this is because when i think about breast tissue i don?t immediately think be all and end all in the sense that a person could live without breast tissue but not a brain, or both kidneys or a pancreas.
I am really interested to hear from medical professionals on this?
