WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Just days after fallen Springfield Police Officer Kevin Ambrose was laid to rest, another fallen hero will be remembered on Monday.
Holyoke Police Officer John DiNapoli was killed in the line of duty three days before Christmas in 1999.
On Monday the thirteenth annual John DiNapoli Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at the East Mountain Country Club in Westfield.
At Officer Ambrose?s wake on Thursday, DiNapoli's daughter told 22News she still thinks of her.
?I was a daddy's girl. I still am. I still think about him to this day. He was very likeable, friends with everybody, all around just a wonderful, wonderful person,? Jobeth DiNapoli told 22News.
Proceeds from Monday?s event will support youth programs in Holyoke.
