GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The Home Improvement and Remodeling Expo was all weekend long, getting folks out and about looking at ways to improve their home, like including a new paint job.One family in the valley is now offering that service in a unique way; by using eco-friendly paint.
After being separated for weeks at a time, they've decided to create a family painting business called, 'Realistic Painting' so they could spend more time together.
"Because of the economy, having to work out of town, put a lot of stressers on the family," said Shawna Morrison, mother and owner of Realistic Painting.
The family says the paint is a realistic price, and with it being eco-friendly, helps eliminate harmful toxins.
"Give people a good quality paint job for their businesses or their homes, and keep our family together," said Morrison.
They say the paint is safer for nurseries, homes and hospitals.
"We're just two vehicles, family vehicles running right now, out of our home," said Morrison.
A whole family coming together in hard economic times to achieve one goal.
"It makes me proud to have something that we're building for our children," said Morrison.
