Work Local First Job Fair Set For Sept. 19 ? DCRCOC.org NewsCenter

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is welcoming over 50 employers to the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center on Wednesday, September 19 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. for the annual Work Local First Job Fair.? Companies scheduled to attend include: Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corp; GAP, Inc.; The Home Depot; Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union; Kirchhoff-Consigli Construction Management; Marshall and Sterling Insurance; Stewart International Airport and many more.? In addition to the typical job fair environment, the Work Local First Job Fair features a dynamic seminar series featuring speakers on topics such as interview skills, what to expect from a career change and developing a personal brand.? All seminars are presented by members of the Chamber?s Career Connections for Professionals committee comprised of local job-search experts with countless years of combined experience in hiring, human resources and corporate consulting.? All presentations are complimentary to attend.? The full schedule is below.

Throughout the Work Local First Job Fair, attendees can schedule one-on-one time with a career counselor for a critique of their resume or a personal consultation on stress management.? These spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis the morning of the job fair.
